At 9 lbs. even and 20.5" long, our beautiful and healthy baby girl, Mae Lee was born at 6:58am. at the Intermountain Medical Center. Everyone, Chelsea did amazing! This was her best pregnancy by far in terms of the physical nature of labor. To our surprize when we arrived yesterday evening, she actually measured at 2.5 cm dilated. So at that point the doctor gave her the petocin and from that point on her body followed with consistent contractions and dilations. The epidural was a pain, but once in her system it did miracles! once she hit 10 cm dilated this morning at about 6:15am, her doctor, Doctor Stephen R. Terry headed right over to deliver. He was great and an awesome doctor who took care of Chelsea with so much care and consideration from the very beginning. To his surprize as well, he was a bit worried that since Chelsea was delivered a 9 lb. baby prior (Lincoln "chubby"), she might do the same with Mae Lee. But the tender mercies of the Lord were with my dear wife this time and all it took was a few pushes once the doctor showed up and out came Mae Lee! It was funny, Chelsea and I both had a similar thought of, "She is a girl, right?!" Of course, she showed us all in a matter of seconds and the rest is history. So, right now, she's going to get a test for the infamous "joundus" which all our kids have had when they were born. But, here, they're actually very proactive about the treatement, so if the tests come back that she needs the lights, they'll start her a.s.a.p with some high powered lamp sessions. Which will be much better than the other times, where the doctors made us wait and then come back after a few days before we could even begin the light treatment. Anyway, we are both so very overwhelmed with joy, happiness, gratitude, and excitement for all our wonderful kids! Chelsea is recovering very well. We look forward for her to meeting all you great Uncles, Aunts, Grandmas and Grandpas. Thank you for all your sincere prayers and support. It means more to us than you know! I'll keep you all posted the best I can, so check back in a bit later...
