October was a memorable month.
Wyatt, Alma, Kilo, and Colby came down for a visit.
This happened to be the weekend of Alma's Birthday, October 8th.
I say October was memorable because not only did we get to have a wonderful visit from Uncle Colby and Uncle Wyatt, and Aunt Alma whose wish also came true!
A couple days later from this Happy Birthday wish Wyatt called us to let us know Alma and Wyatt were Pregnant with their first baby! Yeah!!!
The kids always love to spend time with Uncle Colby!
Thanks Wyatt, Alma, Kilo, and Colby for visiting! We will miss you, but look forward to the next time.

Besides Trick or Treating is of course the time in October when we say hello to
Pumpkin carving!!!
Tysho was making sure this pumpkin wasn't going down without a good fight!
MaeLee wasn't too sure about digging her hands into that pumpkin.
Say wha? You want me to stick my hand in that thing?
Ok, Grandpa is going to show you how it's done.
She did it!
But only a small handful after much persuasion from Papa.
Kiana getting her carving skills on!
Lincoln was getting right to work.
Tysho still showing that pumpkin who's boss.
Yeah... I think it's ready to carve now Tysho.
Alright!
MaeLee happy with her pumpkin that Papa designed.
Okay, now for Lincoln's design.
"What would you like to carve Lincoln?"
"Um... Optimus Prime."
"Oooookkkkayyyy.... sure why don't we just whip that up for ya."
Rocky's no slouch when it comes to design.
He sketches somethin up quick...
Then...
NO, Rocky did NOT carve this bad boy!
Leave it to a man to let a woman finish up the work I tell ya.
So with a somewhat sketched out pumpkin for Lincoln, Rocky goes off to carve his own pumpkin.
Since Rocky and I work as a dynamic duo, I carve the crazy design, and improvise on my own.
What to cut, what not to cut... Where's that picture again?
Let me think here...
All the while I have Lincoln in my ear, "Is Optimus done yet???"
Nothings too much for my baby boy.
Yes, Lincoln finally two carving knives later and a cramped hand, he's done!
As for Tysho,... well he was yelling and screaming and hollering at his pumpkin!
That pumpkin had no fighting chance.
A lot of grunting and groaning and laughter later...
Boo!
Our pumpkins are done!
What a creative bunch I tell ya.
This is the side of the pumpkin that Lincoln actually drew by himself, and he had me help him carve it.
On the other side is Optimus Prime.
Kiana had a double-sided pumpkin. The front was triangle eyes and nose with a smile mouth.
The back was going to say "Happy Halloween", but a "Happy Hal" would have to do.
Kiana was pumpkin pooped.
Of course Papa's creation.
He went all Martha Stewart on us.
As for this picture...
Well unfortunately, I'm not sure what happened with our camera man.
Maybe he was laughing too hard at the fact that
Mr. Rocky Tano's creation to the far right was so carved up that almost the entire pumpkin was gone!
It was the Transformer Autobot logo with flames on each side. But, I think Rocky was more like having a therapy session with his pumpkin because by the end there was no pumpkin left. He just kept carving and carving and carving! And by the next day you couldn't tell what he had carved since the whole thing caved in by then!
We all were having a good laugh at this.
And this is all that we have to show for our hard work, a fuzzy picture at best.
Tysho's is the far left. It was a scary faced pumpkin, kinda like the face he was making as he carved it!
Kiana's smile triangle eye'd pumpkin was next.
Papa's no candle in the middle with his Martha madness skills.
Next to that is the ever high-demand request by Lincoln, Optimus Prime.
Next to that is MaeLee's pumpkin, which also had ears from the eyes that were cut out per Papa.
Last but not least is Rocky's therapeutic design.
Happy October 2011.
