Our beautiful baby girl is two years old.
We start off her birthday with an early dinner.
She loves spaghetti!
While the birthday girl took her late nap, mommy baked her a berry whip-cream cake.
We weren't sure what theme to have since MaeLee at this point hadn't shown much interest in anything other than what her brothers liked.
I opted for Tinker-bell. Another couple weeks and we would have found out that MaeLee is in love with Rapunzel on Tangled!
I wasn't sure if the nap was a good idea or not.
As her birthday party started she was sleepy and grumpy.
But if she didn't take a nap then she would be screaming...so I went with the lesser of the two, a sleepy two year old.
She was not in the mood for any cake, presents, or singing of any kind.
Nope, there was no blowing out of these candles.
We waited for her until Tinkerbell took a nose dive in the whip cream.
What's a girl to do when she just doesn't want to participate?
Well, that's when prince charming steps in...
In this case it was Uncle Colby who broke the spell.
He salsa-danced MaeLee to a big birthday girl smile.
A little toss in the air...
A throw over the shoulder, and viola!
She's gonna take another crack at this birthday business and blow out the candles, but this time with a wish.
Wouldn't you know it, her wishes came true!
Presents!
A water table!
This girl loves and triple loves anything to do with water.
Every time we say "MaeLee time for a bath." She screams really loud, giggles with delight, and yells, "Baa-Ba. Baa-ba!"
A race car track.
Yes, yes our little princess loves the boy toys.
Pa-pa and Grandma got this one for her. They were surprised when I told them what she would like.
"It's a boy toy?"
"Yes, yes I know... she'll love it."
And love it she did.
Her very own car!
Without the wheels.
She was so excited to get a car just like Ammon's that she got in it right away.
But man, was she ever upset when it had no wheels!
But after half the day and 50 instructions later, Daddy had that car up and running.
MaeLee loves her first car.
Happy 2nd birthday to our beautiful, bright, amazing little girl.
She is full of life.
Has the loudest voice I've ever heard.
The most strong-willed little girl you've ever seen.
She hates anything in her hair.
She is tiny, but has a larger than life personality.
Don't pick a fight with this rascal because you will lose!
Loves her stilettos.
Favorite word, "No."
Wants whatever her brothers have.
A mommy's girl.
Loves to wrestle with her dad.
Loves to play with her brothers.
Her Grandma's baby girl.
She can get her loudest when she is playing with Pa-pa.
Loves all her Aunties and Uncles.
Will calm down and is the quietest anytime Aunt BJ holds her.
Aunt Kiana is her favorite person.
Wants a dog just like Kilo.
Can't live without her favorite movies: Tangled, Mulan, and Avatar(the blue Avatar's)
Nobody can get after Lincoln or she will let you have it!
She will steal the gum right out of your mouth.
Loves gum.
And loves to get her gum stuck everywhere she can.
She's a wild fire.
No fear!
Her favorite book is "Where's my Mommy?"
Long long eyelashes.
Determined.
Intelligent.
Walks on the edge. (literally at times)
Deep raspy voice.
Loves to wear swishy skirts.
Will wipe off all kisses given to her on her cheek.
Dances whenever she hears music.
Our most mischievous child.
Loves beef jerky.
Doesn't like eggs.
Favorite candy, Starbursts.
Nickname is Deedee.
Also Pint size. Night Fury. Gorgeous. Tweetie.
Always exploring.
Water, wherever you are she will find you.
Has the best laugh ever.
