Tysho is 7 years old full of humor, laughter, and love. Where ever he goes kids are attracted to him. He is always a leader, and very kind at that. His teachers all rave about him. He won the best student award in his class for the whole semester in which they had an entire assembly around all students who got the award. Tysho is incredibly smart! Gets all good grades, and he loves to do his homework. His teacher said he has the best penmanship she's ever seen. She said, "He even writes better than me!"
Tysho is crazy and more crazy about games, but if he's not playing his Wii then you'll find him somewhere with a book in hand. He loves to read! Any book on Stars, Space, American History, Sharks, Football and any type of Science will be checked out at the library by Tysho. His favorite book is the Diary of A Wimpy Kid. He read it half way the first night then the other half the second.
Tysho loves sports, especially football. His favorite team is always the Green Bay Packers. He watches every time they play. Even if they are not playing he is still watching football, and if there are no NFL games on he'll be watching the college football teams. He and his Dad can go on and on about football. They talk about players and different plays constantly. The only thing that drives me nuts about these two and their passion for football is every time we go to the store they find a football and throw it around while we are shopping. I already don't like Walmart, but having a football flying through the air half the time knocking down stuff is not on my list of "fun things to do". But when I can't get the Dad from throwing it then how can I stop the 7 year old? Sheesh. You have to smile, shake your head and walk away from that one.
But how can I complain when Tysho is THE most wonderful kid in the world. He is amazingly helpful. He never complains and is always in service of his younger siblings, his parents, and his classmates. Tysho is always thinking of others needs, and is right there to help or give his support.
People love Tysho everywhere. When Tysho is home it feels as if all is right with the world. He brings a calming peaceful spirit to every room he is in. He is definitely not a fighter, even though he is extremely competitive, it's mostly with himself because he is a perfectionist. Tysho is most definitely a peacemaker and loves with his whole heart which is always compassionate and sensitive.
Tysho's best friends are Tyler and Patrick. But his all time favorite companion is always his cousins Sadie and Sophie. He loves and triple loves to be with them. And good ole Aunt B.J. is always game for their million and one sleep overs Tysho gets to have at their house!
The funniest thing he said this year was, "Mom...I have bad news from school." My heart jumped! He never gets in trouble! "Oh no Tysho what is it?" He rolls his eyes sighs and frowns, "Ugh...today I found out that a girl likes me in my class. Her friend told me so." Then he perks up, "But the good news of the day was I caught the winning touchdown at recess with my friends!"
Oh Tysho is my heart-break kid. He is so stunningly handsome that since kindergarten we've had the ladies loving his brown eyes and killer smile. But he is definitely not interested....yet.
One thing about Tysho is he makes me want to strive to be a better mom every day!
He keeps me on my toes, and lets me see things in a whole new light.
I love my Tysho! The kid who will never pass up a piece of chocolate cake!
Lincoln is 3 years old and he is my sweetheart! I believe I have never met a more sharing little person, so full of life, laughter, and gentle as he is wild. Lincoln loves to dance and sing. His favorite song is "popcorn popping on the apricot tree", and the "monkey" song which I still haven't figured out since he sings it in nursery. His all time favorite song and singer was Justin Bieber. He loved everything about Justin, and he even got a book all about him. You would find him all over the house singing, "Baby...baby...baby....ohhhh....baby baby". But, after he talked to his Uncle one afternoon who said "Justin Beiber is gay" then Lincoln never said his name again and never sung Justin Beiber's songs again. Which broke my heart, but oh well... that's just how life goes and your babies have to grow up sometime. Lincoln doesn't seem sad about it at all and just moved on to another song that he likes. When we are listening to the radio Lincoln can tell us who the artist is. He tells Rocky and I all the time that our songs we listen to are "Boring" and "Duummmb".
When Lincoln talks he has an accent all his own. He holds his vowels for a long time and then makes a deep undertone sound when he says them. It's really cute, and Rocky gets the biggest kick out of it.
He thinks there is no one better than his big brother, Tysho...well maybe his Dad can tie with that. As of now Lincoln is not sure whether he would like to be a big boy like Tysho or a baby like MaeLee. He is stuck in the middle and most of the time acts like both...a big boy baby. But don't tell him that, because he will say, "I am not a baby! That's MeehhLEE! And I am not a Big Boy! That's Tysho!" He says very proudly and straight-forward, "I... am a Kid."
Besides being drop dead gorgeous Lincoln is my most lovable, hugable kissable child. He loves to snuggle up beside you during the night, on the couch or whenever he possibly can. You can give him as many kisses as you want and he will never tire of it. I love to hold him and watch cartoons in the morning. I can't stop kissing his cheeks and gazing into his beautiful eyes. I believe my most favorite thing to do is run my fingers through is soft brown locks of hair and smell the top of his head,...it smells like sugar cookies.
He has a sweet laugh that makes you remember instantly what it was like to be a child full of joy and carefree.
Lincoln is so very kind and thoughtful. He always thinks of everyone else first before he asks for what he wants. When asked what he wanted for Christmas he would say "I want Tysho to get the Playstation 3." After he makes sure his brother Tysho is happy then he would decide what he wanted for Christmas. And of course, even though Lincoln is young he is always watching out for his baby sister. He carries her around in his arms when she is sad and tries to comfort her even though she is almost the size he is!
The sweetest thing Lincoln did was trading paper airplanes with Tysho. Tysho's paper airplane wouldn't fly because Tysho had poked a ton of holes in it with a pencil. He did this to make it look cool. Well when Tysho was getting upset and frustrated with the fact that his paper airplane would not go anywhere but straight down Rocky said, "Tysho your airplane won't fly because of all the holes in it!" Tysho who is one competitive person who must be "THE Best at all times" got so upset! Lincoln calmly walked up to his brother held out his paper airplane and said, "Tysho you can have mine because it doesn't have any holes and I will have yours because it can't fly." They traded and my heart about broke to see Lincoln's love for his big brother. And of course Rocky made Lincoln a new airplane.
Lincoln is very impressionable and looks up to those around him. He thinks the world of his uncles Dallas, Wyatt and Colby. In his eyes they are magical and can do no wrong. He prays at every meal for his Uncle Dallas and thanks him for "being at war". He wants to be just like Wyatt and Colby and misses them everyday. And his favorite all time cousin is definitely his "cousin Jake!" He raves about Jake all day long. In the middle of the day he will say, "I miss Jjjaaaake." When we go to visit with Deanne and Rusty's kids he loves to run crazy about with Erika, and he loves all the kisses and hugs from Kirsten. But in the end you'll find him sitting next to his idol,...Jake.
I love my Lincoln! The kid with the beautiful eyelashes who may love rice more than his dad does,...maybe.
We call her my mini-me. She is stubborn, strong-willed, bright, funny, charismatic, wild, and has no fear! If she can't find one way to do something she wants...believe me she will find another! She never gives up. She is my rowdiest, loudest, and most rambunctious child so far. She has a definite mind of her own and she will let you know it! But her spirit is so full that it can light up an entire room.
She is a year and a half and refuses....I mean refuses to wear a shirt! We can barely get her to wear shorts. Some days I can spend chasing her around the house trying to put back on her diaper and shorts at least 10 different times. But Rocky and I gave up on the shirt a month ago. We tried everything, but she will not wear one. Only in public places she will barely keep one on! And that's because we practically threaten her life not to take off her shirt! We keep at least three on hand when we go anywhere because if she gets one tiny little spill on it or even a crumb...forget it, public or not that thing is coming off!
This girl loves and triple loves to dance! Any tiny sound or beat she is up and moving. She spent the last few months watching Dancing with the Stars with me, and that is where she learned all her dance moves. It doesn't matter where the music is coming from this girl will stop and dance in front of crowds or all by herself, in the grocery store, at the doctor's office, in the car, at any family residence, or even music she hears from cars passing by. She stops...and dances. When she's done and the beat if far gone, she goes on her merry way as if nothing ever happened.
MaeLee loves to wear my high heel shoes, or slippers of anyones left by the door, she will trot around in them for a while. This poses to be quite embarrassing when we visit Rocky's relatives here in Hawaii. They leave all shoes left outside the door. Leave it to MaeLee to come walking in a room with someone's unknown giant slipper on her tiny little foot dragging across the clean floor breaking all the traditions and rules of a Hawaiian home. But they always smile and laugh at the "slipper snatcher".
She refuses to wear a shirt, jeans, jean shorts, or anything uncomfortable according to her, but she loves her shoes! And she may just love your shoes too!
Half the time our little girl is hanging off a counter, has a big huge permanent goose egg on her forehead, is slapping her big brothers, standing on top of Rocky's computer looking at you like "I dare you to take me off", spitting out all her chewed up food on your lap or the floor, running through the mud, calling people in the middle of the night on your cell phone, eating a caterpillar crawling on the ground, throwing huge massive tantrums in the middle of church, or just what ever else you can imagine. She does it all with chocolate on her face and a smile, laugh and sometimes with a scrunched up face she likes to make.
But when she is sleeping....she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. And the first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is looks up at a picture of her Grandpa Gilmore, smiles, waves and says, "Hi Pa-Pa." Then off she goes for her day!
I love my MaeLee! This girl is definitely a mama's girl, and loves to drive her daddy crazy. But when she does something "spectacular" like having a new shoe on her foot she yells out, "DA! DA! DA!" She won't stop until her dad gives her his full attention, and a "Wow! MaeLee that is awesome!"
For my birthday this year we didn't have a lot, but my beyond the stars amazing husband did my birthday all on his own! He got my favorite cake recipe from non other than my favorite person of all time, Kodella Joyous. He went to the store on his lunch break with his wonderful cousin Amy Jean and they got all the ingredients.
He came home and made my cake with the kids while I sat and watched one of my favorite tv shows.
They even added a few sneezes, and spit from laughter right into the batter for more flavor of course!
Thank-you to my beautiful family for my gift made with love!
As for my goals I am working on becoming a full time artist. Another goal of Rocky and I's is to get our first home. It may take a little bit, but we are setting our sails for it in the horizon.
And last, but never least....that 20lbs!
After I eat my cake, of course.
